The challenge
In 2021, Royal Purple, a premium motor oil brand, was looking to increase product sales at affiliate retail locations across eight geographic markets.
The approach
Royal Purple and Max Connect Digital deployed Google Local Ad Campaigns that targeted potential customers based on in-market intent and relative distance to a retail location. Ads positioned Royal Purple as the go-to premium motor oil, with calls-to-action directing customers to the nearest O'Reilly store carrying Royal Purple inventory, optimized for 'Get Directions' and 'Call Now' clicks.
The results
Each of the eight Local Ad campaigns accomplished a significant lift in store visits; the California campaign drove 4.8k attributable store visits in 16 days. Royal Purple felt a tangible lift in sales at O'Reilly Auto Parts locations.
